Creating an Integrated Emergency and Crisis Response System

University of Minnesota Professors Tom Fisher (College of Design) and Saif Benjaafar (College of Science and Engineering) have partnered with Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis to envision a next generation 911 system. Through a process that is informed by, and in support of, existing efforts by the community partners, the co-PIs will explore applying artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technologies to help bring a greater level of adaptability and responsiveness to the existing 911 system.
